True story, was on the beach the day Andy won the Pipe Masters in Hawaii, beating Shane Dorian and Mick Fanning in the final. Many years later was surfing out Bendalong on the NSW south coast when Shane Dorian paddled out. We had a great chat about that final which he won in my opinion, and he confirmed he felt a bit robbed by the decision. He was a top bloke, fearless and one of the best watermen I've ever met.
