Perhaps it went something like this back in March this year: WBT approach a tier 1 fab and say we'd like to use your facilities to transfer our 22nm ReRam tech (remember less than 10 fabs in the world have those facilities). Once tape out and the subsequent qualification are successfully achieved ... you'll have first option to sign a deal with WBT and you'll be a year ahead of your competition. Until then, your identity will be protected by a NDA. The only risk you have is tying up a part of your production line for 9 months and forgoing some income in order to transfer WBT's 22nm ReRam ... but think of the rewards when qualification is complete by mid 2023!
What did Coby say again recently? Oh yes, tape out to a tier 1 fab will be completed by the end of this calendar year.
