Well there is 'the trade' and 'the investment' to keep in mind. I managed the trade for a couple of friends by suggesting to them when to buy and sell, which I managed to do quite well if I don't say so myself. However I didn't execute on my own holding with that given logic. I read an interesting article the other day that said being able to execute your plan according to your analysis is an edge. Harder than it sounds.

The model I use for investing has not flashed a sell signal.
The model for trading that I use has already given its signals. There are no buys, perhaps a further sell will come on a feeble rally/pull back.

Loads of self discovery on offer with these moves if you're willing to put the work in and look deeper. Jocko Willinks' book Extreme Ownership has been the best assistant to me in this regard. A Navy Seal talking about leadership, planning, managing a crises, and ownership of mistakes. Being able to instantly flip a negative into a positive is a powerful tool.
