You ideally want to begin with 3 confirmed points for your bottom line, and at least 2 on top of the channel.
Right now that trend line is too hopeful and introduces bias for me.
Instead you could drill into the lower time frames where more information can be found. Small areas of confluence can be seen in advance that way, giving an idea of what to anticipate. Keep in mind that the parent time frames (the higher ones) hold precedence however.



I tend to focus on other signals to my detriment and I need to work on using trend channels more. It's a nice simple method of the chart telling you whether you should look closer or not.
