hey mate, good point. We all look through our own lens and parse that against what we would like to see ideally.
I trade two setups - a base breakout position style and a fast moving swing trade style. Neither setup exists right now for me, but other setups will be present for others including fundamental based strategies (to long and short sides).



Buying now based on hope is higher than acceptable risk according to my setups. Fundamental setups would be looking at other metrics. Neither is right or wrong given no one knows what the market will do after you buy or sell.

In the meantime I see market based fundamentals taking shape (compression in price) but that doesn't mean I'm going to act on anything. Happy to let the market deliver a low risk entry later and then have my sell conditions get met hopefully much higher.

Hopefully that explains my sentiment to the 5 people who that matters to.
