Held up very well around 1.6 and recovered to finish green amongst the red sea. People who rushed and sold at 1.5x would be kicking themselves.
In the last days prior to the retrace there were very large volumes changing hands around 1.6 and above. Unless you are willing to make a loss for no apparent reasons I can't see why those people would sell below their purchase prices.
Sellers for profits below 1.6 are drying up so this will naturally hold up the price.
