No, I haven't heard anything. To me it just makes sense, even more so now. FLT has a strong physical presence and brand. WEB has a strong digital presence and brand, together with WebBeds and the other travel-related fields they're both in. The synergies are terrific. Both would get massive benefits from the savings on marketing, staff, etc. The new size of the joint company would be significant on a global level and enable it to really compete with giants like Expedia, as well as branch into new related areas.
Anyway, I can dream. To me, it's a real win-win. Why use resources competing when you're in the same field and together can become a really big player?
