Just did a bit of quick research on URA and URNM, the leading ETFs in this sector, and their holdings in BOE and thought I would share my findings.

- BOE is the 10th largest holding for both ETF's
- 2.27% of URA and 4.14% of URNM
- MC of URA 2.45B and URNM 1.7B

So if the ETF's move say 4% like they did last night, in theory that forces them to buy

- URA 2.45B x 4% increase x 2.27% portfolio allocation = $2.2M
- URNM 1.7B x 4% x 4.14% = $2.8M

So a 4% daily increase in the 2 main ETF's = $5M buy volume daily movt for BOE

Average daily volume for BOE is$ 2.8M and a rough look at the chart tells me we have had 7 days of $5M+ volume in the last 12 months. This is a little rough as portfolio %'s can change and the exact timing of buys can have a short lag, but you get the point. Which is the effect of U sector ETF's on BOE is very significant, and is a turbo charger to BOE's own fundamentals momentum.

If anyone has anything to add, or to refine/correct my understanding, please feel free to share.
