That's a pretty fair overview of both.
Depends on a person's style after years of refining the mistakes.
Personally, I triage opportunities by sector potential, company health and fundamental and technical setups. The technical helps moderate the lack of intimate knowledge of a particular industry and or company.
Anyone interested in technical, can't go past a book called "How to Make Money in Stocks" by William J. O'Neil. The top performing investment strategy out of 50 run real time by the American Association of Individual Investors. A return of 35.3%/y compounded vs 3.3%/y for the S&P.
There's a reasonable opportunity another URA ASX stock with B. Seems to be holding up reasonably well, but Friday's price action didn't help. Manage the Risk!
