What I am seeing is that the buying is very carefully stage managed. I am not seeing a large buy order placed but rather I am seeing a sell order placed and then a matching buy order turning up to accomodate it.

The intention is to increase holdings without allowing the price to move up too much.

It is hard to be sure of this in the normal course of the day's trade but after 4pm last night it was much clearer for the slow ones like me.

I saw a sell order for about 80K shares and then a couple of other sell orders (about 10K-20K shares each) jumped ahead of the 80K seller. I thought that when the 4:10 pm snap came we would see a price drop but out of the blue at about 4.09 pm a buy order turned up which pretty much matched the total of the sell orders.

What I think is if the sell orders totalled 200K or 300K shares it would not have mattered, a buy order would have turned up to take them.

What is happening now is very well managed I just don't know how many they have nor how many they want. I suspect they want a lot.
