Had a quick look at ADJ. Falling out of bed at the moment. Chart doesn't look quite as clean for EW analysis as BLT has been up to now, but maybe your friend is using a different EW methodology :) I use Robert Miner's methodology for EW analysis. Imo he is the most pragmatic of the EW gurus, and has simplified EW analysis down to the bare bones. I only use EW as an indicator of potential movement in a stock that is following the EW parameters nicely as I'm not an active trader. As pointed out by others here EW or other forms of predictive charting may not be of much use when the rampers take control, and imo it certainly does not work for all stocks.

Personally I prefer Wyckoff-based analysis, Victor Sperandeo's trend line theories & Andrew's pitchfork when I'm following stocks that I like.
