This is the most corrupt part of the whole deal, no one knows who is lending or borrowing the shorted stock, and sometimes even the holder of the stock may not know his stock is being lent.
AND the ASX will not guarantee the short numbers.
It's like going to the races and not knowing what weight the horse is carrying.
