Teck Cominco: Refined Chinese zinc production will outstrip domestic demand again in ‘07
Teck Cominco executives believe China’s refined zinc production will again outstrip domestic zinc consumption this year with the increased production to be gobbled up by the West.
During a conference call Tuesday to discuss financial results, Teck Cominco executives forecast that Chinese refined zinc production may again exceed domestic zinc consumption this year.

Mike Agg, Vice President, Refining & Metals Sales, said, "We now feel Chinese refined production will grow faster than domestic consumption in 2007 and Chinese exports could continue, albeit at a lesser rate than in the November 2006 to February 2007 period.

I guess when I boought it was as a tch stock and a 1-2 year horizon, but the long dowwards trend has me worried. Need some good news soon I think!!
