Chatswood Chase houses a 'new format' Coles. I recently dropped in to check it out and i think its outstanding. At a cursory glance the so called fresh offer seems superior to anything i've seen from WOW and the overall look and feel of the store is execellent. It should suit stores in more affluent areas perfectly.
I read that a Merrills analyst cited the fit-out/operational cost of the new format as a negative, but personally i think its a triumph of good design.
