Yes,I think the new Coles Claremont is definitely following the Bunnings strategy: you know how you go there to buy a 50-cent part to finish a project, but walk out spending $100?
I bumped into a friend at the new Coles who dropped in to buy 'a loaf of bread.' 5 minutes later, she sent her daughter for a plastic shopping basket...10 minutes later she sent her daughter for a full-sized shopping trolley! I reckon she spent $100 by the time she hit the checkout!
