    RUIGHOEK CHROME PROJECT UPDATE

    Infill RC Drilling Results

    Metallurgical Testing Summary

Trial Pit and Bulk Sampling Update

    Mining Right Application Progress
The Directors of Chrome Corporation Limited (“CCI”) are pleased to announce a further update on progress at the Ruighoek Open Cut Chrome Project in South Africa which will see CCI make the transition of to a fully funded chrome producer. The Ruighoek Chrome Project is held and managed by CCI’s 74% owned and Black Economic Empowered subsidiary, Batlhako Mining Limited (“BAT”).
BAT’s mining geological consultants, Prysm Resources (Pty) Ltd, have now completed a thorough update and refinement of the existing geological model of the LG6 chrome seams in the area of the proposed open pit mining operations. As part of their geological review, they conducted a 300 metre infill RC drilling programme to provide detailed local structural information necessary for the final mine planning as well as providing samples for more comprehensive metallurgical test work. The structural and metallurgical information have been collated to optimise the location of the designed trial pit which will also be positioned to provide the initial box cut for the mining operations once the Mining Right has been granted. Tender submissions have now been received from mining contractors to mine the trial pit, which subject to the availability of appropriate mining equipment will be commenced later this month. It will be approximately 200m long down dip, 15m wide with a 30m high wall and will produce a sample of up to 10,000 tonnes of chromite. At least two bulk samples of between 800-1,000 tonnes each of both the fresh and slightly oxidised LG6 chrome ore will be selected to be transported to the neighbouring wash plant for testing.
Mineral Resource Managers and Associates (MRMA), BAT’s metallurgical consultants, have completed detailed pilot scale metallurgical evaluation test work on core from last year’s diamond drill programme and samples from the recent RC drilling. The bulk of the work supervised by MRMA is being carried out at GMRS, an experienced metallurgical testing laboratory and Mintek, a South African government laboratory. Results have highlighted the superiority of the LG6 chrome seam with parts of the orebody producing high quality fine and coarse foundry sand, benchmark chemical grade as well a quantity of premium quality refractory grade material. This data along with the treatment parameters will now be made available to the operators of the neighbouring wash plant to assist with the plant optimisation when the two bulk samples from the test pit are assessed.

The Company has been informed by Golders Associates Africa, the BAT Environmental and Community Relations consultants, that all specialist reports required for the Environmental Impact Assessment have been completed and lodged with the Department of Minerals and Energy (DME). Golders have also informed CCI that the Environmental Management Plan which is the last part of the Mining Right Application required by DME has also been lodged at the DME regional office in Klerksdorp. The final phase of the local community consultation process has also been completed. BAT management and the Ruighoek BEE partner will now seek a meeting with the DME to attempt to ensure the smooth passage of the final assessment of the MRA.
    Yours faithfully
