On a side note I wonder how any one here (with respect) is qualified to judge that $35 is a ‘low ball’ offer, how is this arrived at, if based on HC chatter and WP spiel than that figure may be a little shaky.
That ‘low ball’ offer would certainly lift up the creds of WP; that it matches the ‘internal valuation’ and that there is a suitor/s in the wings. Aside from putting a base level on the sp, at $35 plus, it would show the Company could become a contender and that the IP has gone a little way to being properly derisked.
How the Top Twenty would Vote, on an offer in that vicinity, is pure conjecture to say they would reject it, and would be interesting to see it played out.
Always some upside on that figure, go in low and be prepared to lift that offer to some degree, how much is the million dollar question (literally).
