    The first one I found is a pdf and shows % growth for Sydney. The absolute worst period for growth was from 1989 to 1991 as we expected but the "growth" in that period was -10%. So the worst drop that can be found is not 30% but 10%. Now I cannot determine from this pdf but I'll bet that if you segment the data and remove top end houses the drop would not be as bad as 10%. In addition to that I would be as bold to say that it probably would simply have stayed at 0% growth if you only focus on "normal" brick veneer houses in median suburbs outside, say, an 8km radius from the CBD.

    Read the link below to check that I'm honest and I will search further for more specific evidence that the normal houses did not drop the amount that scaremongers want you to think.
