re: re:***bourbak12 *** cheaper housing on the way Thanks for that. I have only had a cursory look at the REI statistics. Off hand, it does look like only a 10% fall. To be honest, I am surprised. The late eighties boom was short and sharp compared to the current protracted boom. Quarterly data may well show a more savage fall in prices than 10%. What Derat and myself are talking about is the fall from the peak of the market. The way the data is presented may be obscuring the severity of the price drop for those who purchased at the top of the boom. I will have a closer look later when I have more time.
