If you've ever been in one of those beasts in Bangkok peak hour, you'll realise they're not a very good idea IMO.
Bangkok taxis are very good and very cheap.
They use Camrys on LPG.
Very very cheap and air-conditioned.
No seatbelts though!!!
I was with a mate, trying to get from Khao San Rd back to the Baiyoke Skytower in peak hour.
At one stage we moved 350 metres in 40 minutes!
No Kidding.
We even had time to hop out and walk to a Seven Eleven to get drinks and snacks for us and the driver!
Ahhh Bangkok.
Love it!
