I locked in my mortage at 5.79 per cent on the st george advantage package for 5 years. For both my house and rental properties. This has since been raised by st george to 6.39% so looks like i got in at the right time.

Heres a tip you know its a good time to lock into your intrest rates when the CEO of any bank says you should be on variable. Rates are at historic lows its a no brainer. even if you miss out on 1/4 rate drop for 6 months in 3 years time ull easily make it back.

Come see me in 3 years if rates arn't at 7% ill give u all 1000 bucks :)
