Every tipster has their fair share of successes and failures.
FTP have been relatively good on stocks such as Auspine, Austar (over the last 12-18 months), DIO and Oil Search /OML (over the last 2 years).
Conversely, they have been poorly done by in relation to stocks such as SBM, MSC, TMS, and VRL, amongst others.
They tend to have a bias towards the resources /energy sector and are known to be bullish on gold.
They also have a healthy interest towards the higher tech sector.
Currently, they hold declared positions in ~66 companies, with exposure to most sectors (other than banking).

To my way of thinking, they have been useful as an extra resource, but I have not relied solely on what they have had to say. Also, some of the companies /sectors that I follow, they have either not yet gone into, or have only come on to the scene in more recent times. This applies more to the higher tech and discretionary spending sectors than to the resources /energy sectors.
