Ive ben watching and trading on AMP for a while now - my last call trade was cancelled out on 28/7/04 for another good profit. AMP was hitting 6.25 resistance which i thought it would fail at and go back down to 5.95/6.00 which didnt happen - so been looking at buying calls again and expect AMP to continue its uptrend before and after its coming financial report. There is resistance at 6.35/6.40 but this time id say it will break thru that and continue to 6.75/7.00. AMP has been thru a cple of accumulation stages - this one now and at 5.55/5.70 The reason for my optimism? AMp has been cutting debt and bringing in cash by the bucketload. After getting rid of HHG this financial report should show a big improvement in earnings ie no HUGE losses and they should announce either a special div or a buyback with all the extra cash. Expect them to rise towards the report date and after (IMHO)
Im holding NCP and NAB calls the next few days and will switch to AMP and JBM and possibly BHP soon.
