It's hard to say what the split is in Japan. From my assessment of the information in the market BTA get a royalty from sales in Japan which some analysts have touted as being "low single digits", probably a fair outcome for Biota who didn't have to fund any of the trials. BTA also get milestone payments from sales in Japan, once again it has not been disclosed to the market. We may know more once they License LANI... no commecial confidentiality required after signing the deal I would have thought.
The ROW rights will be "shared". I've heard it's split 50:50 and I've heard other speculation of 49:51. We'll know soon enough. But rest assured if phase III is good then it should attract quite a nice package from a global pharma. I'm tipping GSK as they have seen how attractive anti-viral sales can be.
