I'm not sure why a US-based payday lender would have any reason to discredit a firm that doesn't even trade in the same jurisdiction that they do, but it may explain some of the US-centric language used in the report.
Perhaps the author - in their 30 seconds of Googling - found the name of this firm and thought they'd be clever by making it look like a ham-fisted attempt by a competitor to discredit CCP?
