It's not the end of the world. Let's face it, we were all invested for the real pots of gold which are CHF and CBP, and the new bonus we recently got out of the blue - COVID19.
The FDA cannot hide from the glare of the spotlight on COVID treatments. The IDMC will put the spotlight on Meso probably after the 135 patient review and we could get an update from the company any day now.
The guy in the ODAC panel from the NIH who voted 'no' - he always bothered me, even as recently as yesterday. Let this be a lesson that the FDA is not independent. They are subject to all kinds of influence by large pharma.
Two random thoughts on the FDA's confounding and irritating decision: (1) did they want all of the remestemcel inventory for treating COVID patients, at the expense of children ? (2) is this a grand plan by the US government to buy Meso on the cheap with a "smash-and-grab" as they did with Tic Toc ?
We will know soon.
