I spent a lot of time in exploration and I think that the rules are basically the same world wide, if you have a lease you must spend X amount of money on it to hold it ( GGG have done) if the lease date expires the holder of the lease has the first right to extend it for the same period as the first period (usually 3 years) Why is this? it takes years to fully explore your whole lease and that rule is there to ensure you hold on to the lease as well as the investment in it. Now unless the GoG have changed those rules as well GML can carry on exploring their lease as long as it takes and should have the right to extend it. Now please boys dont take this as gospel, I've been out of the game for a long time but the basics should be the same, unless the place is being run by cowboys and crooks! All the best Father D
