ahhh yes jam .. watso recalls dick smith being interviewed once - and he was proclaiming that he would never go into an aldi store (profits go to german brothers).. anyway, just to focus on what watso recalls - but dick smith sent some one in to an aldi store - and it seems that the aldi jam came from chile (dick smith had a range of australian products .. probably including jam) ..
lol lol that had watso looking in coles and woolies to see where their generic jam originated (and watso posted about it, at the time, on hc) .. mmm CHILE .. and coles/woolies are over 60% owned by americans (relevant links previously posted on hc)lol lol watso is a bit of a forgetful geriatric .. but watso had a fancy for some crackers and cheese - and only wanted to support the australian product .. lol - watso thought that was the woolies generic crackers - but they have been out of stock for a while .. so in desperation, watso thought he would buy the chinese crackers from coles .. lol lol watso got it all wrong .. lol lol the coles crackers are made in australia from 90% australian ingredients ..
anyway, watso has some soft cheese that he bought for 75% rtc .... should be a good combination with the cheap crackers ..
mmm watso also tried the coles 1kg colby cheese ($9.50)- but that is really a mild cheese - and coles also had a 1kg of other cheese for $9 ... aldi have probably got the marketing right - just a limited range - and only one variety of 1kg block cheesegood watso.. you always get it right
