Just when I thought coal was totally out of fashion, I was fuelling up at a roadhouse somewhere in country Queensland and a small bus full of Chinese tourists came in. The bus driver told me they were prospective investors and he was taking them to see a nearby coal mine that is on the market.

So it seems that there could be buyers out there still - looking to the long term and buying strategically now that prices are down.
