I just put an article on EOC supporting the same claims that you are making there. As you would expect there is some Asian interest in smaller coal assets / companies due to the depressed prices.

As for CLR - keep in mind that it dropped out of the ASX Top 300 with today being the cut-off for index funds to rebalance their books (e.g. sell out all CLR shares). This artificial sell down would be quite substantial and has probably accounted for most of the selling pressure over the last two weeks (being that it was already at reasonably low levels). Assuming we don't get anything nasty on a macro sense I would suspect CLR to start drifting back to the 50c mark next week with the index funds no longer selling out.
