I think that this has been a massive miscalculation by the Georgians. Their military was trained by American and Israel advisers weeks before they started this offensive against South Ossetia.Surely no one in their right mind would would destroy Tskhinvali which is full of Russian citizens and not expect retaliation without assurances of support from the USA.Now it looks as there will be no support and their country will be leveled and destroyed.In other words they have been bertayed.The Georgian President cuts a lonely figure calling for a ceasefire after he started this war.Its not going to happen and because of his stupidity his country is being destroyed. No wonder Russians call these people chalkas.
