thanks zero....lol...it's been a case of dumb and dumber...the sensor i had on the wrong end of the light setting so it would only go off in bright sunshine and the oven wasn't working because turning the power off reset the oven to timer and all i had to do was turn the timer off and go to manual operation...i assumed i'd loosened a wire putting back a power point beside it...the semi retired electrician just does connection ...i run any cables for him and cut any holes for down lights and refit the switches and points because they new ones don't fit and the hole needs enlarging....lol
