I see that chicken meat has pulled ahead of sheep meat in the family consumption stakes in Australia. Actually I'm surprised it's taken so long to happen. I don't have anything for or against either, although for many years now I've hardly eaten red meat at all, whereas steak, chops etc were once almost a daily feed. The main way I eat red meat now is to buy a good piece of topside beef, bake it and then to cut it in thin slices to eat with salad. So I really eat very little meat. Fruit, salad vegies and cheese make up most of my diet. Washed down with daily wine of course.
