Chickens as we know them today are only a new invention. Probably bred and introduced over the past 200 years.
Since then they have plumped, pumped and added more mones than a weight lifter.....the only differences is whether they have let it have a little run in the big shed before the pumped it full of water and shoved it in a plastic bag to sell at the supermarket as a premium chook for twice the cost.
Go to your local butcher and get a home grown chook...not as fluffy actually has meat and flavour.
