About Globe Metals & Mining

Globe Metals & Mining is an African-focused resource company, specialising in rare metals such as niobium, tantalum and rare earths, as well as other commodities including fluorite, uranium and zircon. Its main focus is the multi-commodity Kanyika Niobium Project in Malawi, Africa, which will produce ferro-niobium, a key additive in sophisticated steels.

Globe has recently completed an A$48 million placement to a Chinese State Owned Enterprise ? East China Mineral Exploration and Development Bureau ? to fund the feasibility study for the Kanyika Niobium Project, ongoing exploration and potential advanced-stage acquisitions.

A Chief Operating Officer is now required to enable the Company to undertake its next stage of growth. The position will support the Managing Director, with primary responsibility for day-to-day operations, including people management, ASX reporting and all aspects of project management and control.

Globe has regional offices in Lilongwe, Malawi, and Tete, Mozambique and has its corporate head office in Perth, Australia. The Company has been listed on the ASX since December 2005 (Code: GBE),

Position Requirements

? Minimum 15 years experience in the mining sector, including demonstrable experience in forecasting and management reporting (financial and operating measures)
? Track record of involvement in successful mining project developments
? Experience with working in Sub-Saharan Africa preferred but not essential
? Willingness to undertake travel to Africa
? Excellent leadership, people, organisational, written and numeric skills
? Abundant enthusiasm and energy.
