GZ, there is a big difference, between being punished for something you know you did wrong, even if it was a bit severe, and coping it for absolutely no reason, and with no comprehension why its happening to you at all! We all learn from our parents, do the crime, do the time. It makes sense. The other, just doesn't ever.
Or, one you could possibly avoid by improving behaviour, the other, you have very little infuence as to the outcome. Do you see a difference. One, is born from love and "trying" to do the right thing by your off-spring, even if it is a bit misguided, and the other isn't.
