A guy i greatly admired decades back was a russian who lost loved ones in a midair collision by 2 airliners over Switzerland, due to an oversight by a Swiss air traffic controller. He went to Switzerland, tracked the guy down, and cut his throat. He was released after a short time on a technicality, and returned to Russia to a Hero's Welcome.
There are murders, and there are murders, but a guy who kidnaps a lovely 9 yo/o girl, drugs, rapes, and kills her, deserves nothing short of a death sentence.
