hmmm Misty... I don't remember you being concerned at our own destitute prior to September this year when many of us were expressing concern at the approx $10 Billion being spent on illegal boat arrivals paying thousands of dollars for a fare and arriving in expensive clothing who may not even be genuine refugees while so many of our own desperately need help.
These arrivals are given a roof over their heads and around $10,000 worth of furniture.
If border control had been run efficiently, there is around $10 billion that could have gone to helping those in poverty. Many of those children in poverty are likely to be those from single parent families who have possibly been pushed further into poverty during this year.
