    Hi Mazwegian.

In my case, I the father stayed home and looked after my daughter while working in my shed earning an income at the same time.

I was fifty years old at the time, and not wanting fatherhood.

My wife kept her career and I decided to stay and look after my daughter.

    My choice, and don't regret.

Mother Nature planned for a child to have two parents for a reason. Doesn't matter what parent looks after the children, it could be a tag team like us.

I don't believe in single mums on welfare taking their children to child care, but apparently some do.

Times have changed and women are getting more about "me", and they still not happy with full time career and part time children.

If you can't afford to have children without having help, who do you think can help you.

Most people are in the same situations as you, trying to bring their own children up.

If you can't afford them on your own, don't have them.

then there is still NO job security and so women feel the need to keep themselves in the workplace.

    Live with in your means.

You don't need to be paying off an expensive house full of toys and two cars.

Security is more than just a Job.

I believe that women want to work to socialise and have their own spending money.

I understand that, but not at their children expense when they are pre school.

BTW my mother was in the early 1950 divorced with us two kids at grade 3 primary school.

    No single mothers benefits then.

People are getting too Government dependent.

No security or life style in that.

    cheers,

    syp
