It is very obvious that the government have disregarded the submissions by early childhood experts.
What the government are proposing is complicated and unfair. Until the government adopts the importance of children's development we will continue to see centres struggle to fill vacancies. Two days early childhood education, fully government funded for every child in the year prior to school should be a top priority.
