We all know that the taxpayers will be funding this.

I don't like the current situation here either, which has resulted from the total abscence of effective policy and leadership from Labor.

Having said that, now that the situation has been created, I don't like having young children in detention centres either. Far too much risk of abuse, sexual and physical, coming from some of the other illegal entrants. Did anyone else see the 4Corners doco on "the dancing boys of Afghanistan"??? Legalised paedophilia over there.

The children should be protected, first and foremost.

It's up to this abysmal example of a government to fix the situation of no border security, which is of their own creation.
