Even though Chaitén, the stratovolcano in your great pic, is pushing out greenhouse gas, this is generally offset by the dust blasted into the stratosphere. This dust increases the Earth's albedo and has a cooling effect that outweighs any increased Greenhouse effect at least in the short term.
