It increasingly seems we have to build our own knowledge / analysis of stocks. My question to dargie / melua / et al is:

- how did you guys get the knowledge you have (formal education, general reading, industry experience?)
- where would you recommend someone start re: being able to pull apart and analyse the financial info that companies give out.

For my part its really been some very basic financial knowledge , reading the prospectus in detail, common sense, and general reading of finacial press and hot copper. All mixed with a healthy degree of skeptism. Often I feel that I'm buying blind but it seems no worse than listening to the analysts..........
