I read about Chimera in a book written by Bill Bryson, for those wondering where they have heard that name, he was the guy who wrote ' A Short History Of Nearly Everything'. He later wrote another book called "The Body" it detailed interesting facts about how we work as a lifeform. In one of the proceeding chapters he discussed the wonderous technology becoming available to mankind, you guessed it; Car-T Cell Therapy.

He discussed how this new tech was going to find a cure for cancer, of course, this tech would only be available to those who could muster up a hefty $500 price tag. I think later in the Chapter he referred to it as a rich mans cure to cancer.

My wife on the other hand doesn't think this tech will ever see the light of day. By that I'm referring to large multinational pharma buying and shelving the technology in pushing their band aid meds instead. I hope she is wrong and companies like Chimera and Imugen get their day in the sun.
