As DjR has stated, the particular immunotherapy (neoadjuvant and combo-therapy) applied to Prof Richard Scolyer's brain cancer is based on their knowledge and understanding of their work in melanoma. It's unlikely that cancer will ever be cured as such. I think it'll be more a case of finding the best combination of immunotherapies to treat cancer most effectively and extending lives without nasty side effects, so that we can say goodbye to chemo and possibly even radiation forever.

What Prof Richard Scolyer and Prof Georgina Long's story is achieving is exposure to the field of immunotherapy and its potential in all cancers but especially brain cancer. The scans and the tests of Richard's brain show how immunotherapy can cross the blood-brain barrier and result in the proliferation of immune cells to fight the cancerous tentacles that typify a brain tumor.

I get the impression that some wonder how this has relevance to CHM or view it as potential competition for CHM. The more light that is shed on the subject (especially in mainstream media), the more money will be invested in biotech and the more accommodating govt regulators will become when it comes to clinical trials. There is some great R&D being done in GBM brain cancer and CHM is one co. hitting some really solid goals in the clinic. The way I see it, the more we hear about this great work by Professors, Richard and Georgina, the more people may learn about what CHM is doing in the field and in our clinical trials.
