You'll drive yourself insane trying to make sense of it all. Whether looking at the assets and clinical progress or comparing valuations with other listed conpanies, its just unreal how low the MC is!
I think the past 1-2 years funding has been tight, taking it right down to the wire, maybe leaving it too long to CR each time. Of course it gets sold down worse for longer when people are anticipating a CR (like now). Its gone into a spiral. To raise a measly $10m now would mean giving someone(s) nearly half the company.
Difficult to know what the answer is. Unlike some others, I doubt it is as simple as having a better salesman/negotiator or marketing materials.
A licensing agreement for one asset, with a very small upfront payment ($10m) but decent milestone payments might be doable. Asking for more upfront would likely prompt a cheeky lowball TO offer.
