The sad thing about allowing new technologies introduced to and applied in Australia is that it often takes either a decision maker her / himself or a close friend / relative to be in desperate need of those techs to finally give their approval.

Of course, modifying toy drones to kill thousands of people - Yes, go for it, the more killed people the better. Covid has shown that only when the decision makers feel threatened or get impacted themselves change can be achieved in nix to no time. Do we really have to wish for them to get severe cancer?
