NEW YORK, Sept 10 (Reuters) - Del Monte Foods Co. said on Friday that certain affiliates of the Texas Pacific Group will sell their remaining stake in the company.

These Texas Pacific Group affiliates are to sell about 12.3 million shares of Del Monte Foods public stock, reducing their ownership in the company to zero from 5.9 percent, a Del Monte statement said.

After the sale, which is expected to close on Sept. 15, TPG GenPar, L.P., another affiliate of Texas Pacific Group, will still own 6,569 Del Monte shares.
