Dec. 2 (Bloomberg) -- China will extend tariffs imposed yesterday on the export of fertilizer until June, the China Daily reported today, citing Yuan Junhong, secretary general of the China Chemical Mining Association.

The Ministry of Finance imposed a 35 percent temporary tax and a 75 percent special tax on the export of fertilizer including urea and diammonium phosphate from Dec. 1 through Dec. 30, according to the newspaper. The duties will be extended to ensure domestic supplies and to help control the rising price of domestic agricultural products, the newspaper cited Yuan as saying.
