I just saw a short piece on the China/Australia deal on Landline.
They say there is no way 1 million cattle could be sent to China in the next year. They say more likely at the most there will be 100 - 200,000 in the first year after the deal is signed for various reasons. They also have reservations about when the deal will go ahead and when the cattle will be sent. It seems you shouldn't hold your breath on it happening in the near term. I think that has got to do with just doing business with China, apparently it can take a long long time to get anything going.
